Trichology is the science of
the hair & scalp.

AS A BOARD-CERTIFIED TRICHOLOGIST, PENNY JAMES IS DEDICATED TO HALTING AND REVERSING HAIR LOSS.

Everyone sheds some hair daily—about 50 to 100 strands—but how do you know what’s normal? If you start to see more than that on your brush or pillow or in your shower drain, then it’s excessive. Your hair is often a barometer of health, and thinning hair can point to an underlying problem. Depending on the issue, once your hair has started to thin, it may not be reversible, so it’s important to set up an appointment as soon as you can. I have partnered with other medical professionals, such as dermatologists or OB/GYNs, and I can help with identifying issues.

ALOPECIA. HAIR LOSS. Scalp analysis and treatment

Scalp ANALYSIS

We offer you a thorough assessment of your overall health and hair and scalp care. I will need recent blood work results and a list of all the vitamins, medications, and hair care products you use daily. This vital information will help me understand what your problem may be. We will sit in a private setting where you can feel relaxed and not rushed. Finding out why you lost your hair takes time. Your appointment will last one hour.

Scalp Treatment

Depending on the diagnosis for your scalp and hair care, I will use a range of homoeopathic treatments and a massage technique called Head Spa. You will experience a relaxing scalp massage with steam to activate the ingredients applied to your scalp. The heated steam opens the pores on the scalp along with the cuticle along the hair shaft, giving the chosen product the ability to soothe and hydrate the scalp and hair. As a bonus, you will receive a bespoke blow-dry from me. I will show you how to use a blow dryer correctly and what is the correct brush for your hair type—showing your hair some love.
